Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites applications for the position of Consultant in Economics in the School of Social Sciences (Discipline of Economics). The appointment is full-time and purely contractual for a period of six months, extendable based on institutional requirements and performance.

About the Role
The Consultant will contribute to the development and delivery of academic programmes in Economics. Responsibilities include:
- Writing, revision, and editing of self-learning materials
- Translation and academic coordination
- Focus on areas involving quantitative methods in Economics

- Remuneration: ₹40,000 – ₹60,000 per month
Educational Qualifications
Essential:
- Master’s Degree in Economics with minimum 55% marks
(50% for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/EWS/PwD) - Specialization in Quantitative Methods
- NET/JRF in Economics
Desirable:
- Ph.D. in Economics
Additional Requirement:
- Fluency in English and Hindi (Reading & Writing)
