Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites applications for the position of Consultant in Economics in the School of Social Sciences (Discipline of Economics). The appointment is full-time and purely contractual for a period of six months, extendable based on institutional requirements and performance.

About the Role

The Consultant will contribute to the development and delivery of academic programmes in Economics. Responsibilities include:

  • Writing, revision, and editing of self-learning materials
  • Translation and academic coordination
  • Focus on areas involving quantitative methods in Economics

  • Discipline: Economics
  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Remuneration: ₹40,000 – ₹60,000 per month

Educational Qualifications

Essential:

  • Master’s Degree in Economics with minimum 55% marks
    (50% for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/EWS/PwD)
  • Specialization in Quantitative Methods
  • NET/JRF in Economics

Desirable:

  • Ph.D. in Economics

Additional Requirement:

  • Fluency in English and Hindi (Reading & Writing)
